Sipped on a Founder’s Red Rye (6.8% ABV, Michigan) for day 24…felt extra special from the first sip! Spicy. Malty. Hoppy. It’s an American rye beers which are considered hybrid brews. The type of yeast used when brewing is what makes the difference between ales and lagers. With hybrid brews, either ale or lager yeast can be used to brew them.

#30Beers30Days challenge! I love hops but usually only citrus. NOT floral. Good to know! This Founder’s Red Rye is a citrusy one, a beautiful red color, head with a creamy color and consistency, medium body, and very clean.
